S/S 18: HIGH STREET COLOUR TRENDS.

Get your notebook and get ready to take some notes!

Fashion week has started the conversation on what colours we will be wearing this spring (and We are talking about high-street fashion, cause let’s be honest we can barely afford to buy a takeaway). In the addition of being huge fans of everything fashion and watching copious numbers of runway shows instead of doing university assignments, we also collaborated with fashion students from the University of Arts in London to help us predict what colours will parade our high streets this spring.

We have carefully selected the 3 most dominant colours from the runways this season and we are definitely loving all 3 of them.

Lavender: this colour will dominate the whole summer season. Romantic yet elegant, you can wear it on a masculine suit or a light garment that gets billowy with every step, see Tibi, Michael Kors Collection.

There was so much purple on every runway, it’s like all the designers made a pact or something. I guess Moschino and Jeremy Scott didn’t get the purple memo.

Rapture rose: a full, princess-like, intense pink shade. The ultimate ball gown colour. Designers like Marchesa or Prabal Gurung combine it with sheer and light fabrics.

Sky blue: a fresh colour that evokes a serene sky. Represents relaxation, creativity and vastness  It’s great on mid or full-length dresses: Carolina Herrera, John Galliano, Ralph & Russo.

Whatcha waiting for, go out get some new clothes – but before you do that tell us which colour is you favourite!
